Choosing to pre-order a whole chicken from Sun Dynasty Farm means choosing food raised with intention, care, and transparency.
Our chickens are raised outdoors on pasture on our Ontario farm, where they are able to forage, move freely, and live as chickens should. We do not use medications or vaccines, and our birds are fed a non-medicated, locally sourced feed. Our pastures are not sprayed, and we focus on calm, low-stress handling throughout their lives to support both animal welfare and meat quality.
Whole chickens are processed at a licensed facility and vacuum sealed for the freezer. They are sold whole and bone-in, giving you the flexibility to roast them whole, break them down into individual cuts at home, or use the carcass to make rich, nourishing broths and stocks. Many customers appreciate whole birds for their versatility and overall value.
Because we raise our chickens in small batches and sell exclusively through pre-orders, quantities are limited each season. Pre-ordering allows us to plan carefully, reduce waste, and ensure every bird raised has a home.
If you’re new to ordering pasture-raised poultry or buying whole chickens, we’re always happy to help. Whether you have questions about average sizing, freezer space, or how to make the most of a whole bird, we’re here to guide you through the process and make sure you feel confident in your order.
